1. Local processing principle

QuickTagMP3 is built around a strong principle: your audio files never leave your device. No MP3 file is uploaded, downloaded or stored on a server. Reading and writing ID3 tags happen entirely in your browser via the File System Access API.

2. Data sent to third parties

To recognize a track, QuickTagMP3 sends only the file name and the track duration to the public Deezer API. No audio content is transmitted. These elements let us fetch the title, artist, album, year, genre and cover.

3. User account and history

If you create an account, QuickTagMP3 records the history of the tracks you've tagged (title, artist, album, cover, file name, date). This history is tied to your account and accessible only to you. You can delete it at any time.

4. Cookies

On your first visit, a cookie information banner is shown. QuickTagMP3 uses local storage (localStorage) to remember your consent choice and your language preference. No advertising or third-party tracking cookie is set.

5. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have a right of access, rectification, erasure and objection regarding your data. You can exercise these rights from the My account page or via the support form.

6. Changes

This policy may be updated as the service evolves. The last update date is shown above.
